& Safety Officer: Brad Temeyer
Brad Temeyer has been around the sport of hot air ballooning for over three decades. While at various ballooning events as both a spectator and crew person, Brad found a fascination with meteorology and attended Iowa State University earning both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Atmospheric Science. After serving as a crew member for 25 years, he earned his private and commercial license in 2008 and 2011.
For two decades, Brad has lead meteorological teams providing weather briefings for prominent national and international hot air balloon events, including the Festival de Globo event in Leon Mexico, the U.S. National Championships, the US Woman’s Championships and five Federation Aeronautique Internationale World Championships.
