  FAQ

Q:  Will the balloons fly?

A:  No.  The balloons will stay tethered to the ground all 3 days and will have a balloon glow each evening along        with tethered balloon rides which reach a height of around 50 or so feet and come back down.  Click Here for          all tethered balloon ride info.

Q:  What happens if the weather and safety conditions do not allow for the balloons to be inflated?

A:  The pilots will make every effort to inflate the balloons.  But if the wind conditions do not allow that to happen, they will perform a "Ring Of Fire" with their baskets and burners.  All activities are subject to weather and safety conditions.  Refunds will not be issued.

Q:  How come the Hot Air Balloons aren’t glowing all day?

A:  All Hot Air Balloons are subject to weather and safety conditions. Weather conditions are usually most favorable for balloons just before dusk.  Each balloon holds, on average, 30 gallons of propane but cannot be easily refilled.  From a safety, weather, and visual presentation side, it is best to hold the “Glow” in the evening hours which you can find here.

Q:  How come the Tethered Balloons are able to go up during the day for longer?

A:  Tethered Balloons rides will be available when weather and safety conditions are favorable. Tethered Balloon baskets are designed so that propane tanks are more easily accessible and able to be removed and refilled.

Q:  What happens if it is time for the “Glow” and the weather conditions aren’t right?

A:  The Pilots will make every effort to inflate and “Glow” on time. Our Meteorological & Safety Coordinator is on hand to monitor conditions. If conditions are not right to start on time, we will delay until conditions are favorable.

Q:  How can I get more information about Hot Air Balloons?

A:  Once the balloons are up and glowing, we invite you to walk among them. Come meet the Pilots and ask them about Hot Air Balloons. They are very excited to share with you.
